ORGANIC CUBE, EPHEMERAL ARCHITECTURE FOR KIDS AND ADULTS

During the 2009 Copenhagen International Wood Festival, Søren Korsgaard and Daniel Nielsen, designed this little pavilion named ORGANIC CUBE. It was made with 1000 meters of 45x45mm pine laths.

The structure was physically static, yet changeable through the viewer and the sun’s position that through the day opened and closed for the light to pass. The structure could both be seen as a cube and an organic form, depending on light and angle (time and place) the lines from the two modes interfered and one of the two forms dominate.

A good small building to visit, walk through or even climb to the top.

The only bad thing about this is that was an ephemeral construction.
