The secret child in everyone, loves the adventure and is always thinking about new experiences, always looking for a hint of the wild.

I secretly love the idea of travelling to Africa and enjoying wildlife watching giraffes, lions and gorillas living in their natural habitat. You know what I mean… “I had a farm in Africa at the foot of…” (Out of Africa film).

Yesterday I discovered Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal and Safari reserve parks, located in Kent (UK), that are very different from conventional zoos, because this parks provides as natural an enviroment as possible for the animals their care. Both, the reserve and park, are part of The Aspinall Foundation, which breeds endangered species in captivity, allowing visitors to encounter some of the world’s most elusive animals. Lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, elephants…the list goes on.

I dream about the idea of  someday making a photographic safari in Africa with my two little daughters and my husband, so I think this can be a first introduction to wildlife. Close to us, we can enjoy an authentic African safari without going south of the equator, a wild experience in U.K. Gorillas, zebras, giraffes, lions, black rhinoceros… and also a seal safari! Astonishing! I’m actually forgetting about the idea of visiting Kenya, Kent is my family safari territory now.

And this will be the perfect plan for our kids if we stay at the TREE HOUSE HOTEL at Port Lympne Reserve! If you prefer you can stay at the family friendly camping at Pinewood pods or at the luxury glamping Livingstone Lodge or sleep within a whisker of the park’s Amur tiger family, if you book a stay at the brand new tiger lodge overnight experience. What about to have a picnic with a giraffe on the Gold Safari?

Guests staying in the TREEEHOUSES HOTEL get free unlimited entry to Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Park and their own golf buggies. They also can choose to book a VIP safari, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feed a very special family of gorillas. Other activities on offer include archery, fishing, zorbing and cycling.

This will be a really wild experience!
