Do you think your kid is shy or introvert? If you think your kid is introvert, he or she has the QUIET POWER.

How much do you know about quiet children? Being quiet is different from being shy?

It is different.

Shyness is much more about the fear of being judged. It’s a kind of self-consciousness and not wanting people to look at you and feeling easily embarrassed or easily shamed. These are all the feelings that a shy child would have.

And in practice, many introverted children are also shy, but many are not, and you can also have children that are quite extroverted but who are shy, and as soon as they overcome their shyness, you see them being in the middle of the big gang.

The first time I heard about Susan Cain was through one of the most-watched TED Talks: THE POWER OF INTROVERTS.

“Introverts often are really amazing, talented, gifted, loving children, and they feel like there’s something wrong with them,” Susan Cain says. “And our mission is to make it so that the next generation of kids does not grow up feeling that way.”

Susan Cain wrote Quiet: The Power of Introverts in 2012. In 2015 she announced the launch of her (and Paul Sccibeta) mission-based organization: the QUIET REVOLUTION.

Such organisation aims to change the lives of introverts by empowering them with the information, tools and resources they need to survive. Kids are the heart and center of THE QUIET REVOLUTION. They want to empower the next generation of children to know their own strengths and be freed from the sense of inadequacy that has shadowed the children of previous generations.

Recently Susan Cain has launched her second book: Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverts, taking her message about introverts to teenagers. Though the book is written for young adults, it’s also a tool for teachers and parents.

In addition, Susan has created a portal and a online learning experience for the parents of quiet children and has also established the Quiet Schools Network.

Susan’s podcast, Quiet: The Power of Introverts debuted in February 2016 as a 10-part series designed to give parents and teachers the tools they need to empower quiet kids.
