Experiencing Art – L’Atelier des Lumières in París
How many times have you heard the expression: “art has to be lived”!
Thanks to the technology, the expression can turn real in L’Atelier des Lumières in París, a digital art center where art lives in 3D.
If you are in Paris, or will be before the end of the year, you should visit this exhibition. You will walk along the work of Gustav Klimt or Egon Schiele, among other Vienesse artists.
New technologies are always bringing new ways to enjoy art. At l’Atelier des Lumières, 120 video projectors and a sound system transform an old factory into a piece of art you can work through.
‘When the first musical note is heard, technology gives way to aesthetic emotion, in a poetic scenario. Completely immersed in the images and music, the visitor is taken on a sensorial journey that sheds new light on the major artists in the history of art’
L’Atelier des Lumières is located in what it was an old iron foundry, active until almost the day before yesterday. The company closed in 1935 due to the industrial recession but the space of 3.300 m2 and high ceilings was waiting for a second chance. Now, thanks to Culturespaces and its founder Bruno Monnier, the Chemistry produced inside these walls is not iron based but coming from the public, the music and the art in which you feel submerged.
The exhibition will be opened until the end of the year, but we are sure that any new artist that will be shown this way will be an amazing experience for both kids and adults.
