Today’s post is not exactly about kids. But when kids see these kind of photographs they stay astonished (I know two girls that have done it, promised).
Ballerina Project is a sort of dream created by Dane Shitagi, a New York City-based photographer. Born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii, in 1996 Dane moved to New York City where he was able to be influenced by the city’s vitality and diverse atmosphere. Instead of limiting himself to the confines of a studio environment, Dane explores all aspects of the location he photographs in.
In Ballerina Project series, he joins ballet with photography, as well as a very good intuition for choosing both nature or urban incredible locations for the shots. It started 15 years ago, with traditional film cameras and in 2012 the project began to incorporate digital photography.
The majority of ballerinas who have posed for the project are currently or have danced for renowned companies.
And continue dreaming…
