COLORFUL PLAYGROUND WALL, by Basurama.
When students, parents and teachers join their capabilities in a common project, it happens things like this project. Basurama has lead this mixed working team to change this serious playground wall into a multiple basket colorful game.
Basurama is an artist collective dedicated to research, cultural and environmental creation and production. Their practice revolves around the reflection of trash, waste and reuse in all its formats and possible meanings. It was born in the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) in the year 2001. Since then, Basurama has created more than 100 projects in the four continents. They are based in Madrid, but it is also formed by two representative offices, one in Bilbao (Spain) and another in Sao Paulo (Brazil).
This work is placed in Madrid’s Colegio BVM Irlandesas. In these first work sessions, they have also painted some concrete stands next to the sports ground. But surely it is not the end of their works in this school!
It is definitely a must follow collective!
