Nature inside the children’s room, by ESTUDIO PLOK
Estudio Plok, has designed a fun and inspring bedroom for kids called #thebearscave for Casa Foa 2018, Argentina’s most prestigious architecture and interior design trade show.
Interior designers Carla Barconte and Ludmila Drudi, of Estudio Plök, and architect Mariana Paccieri joined forces to design a bedroom clearly inspired by nature.
The room features a bear on top of a mountain with a bed nestled inside a cave. A ladder inside the “cave” leads up to the mountaintop where there’s another bed. A corner desk becomes a place to play toys with the bear overlooking from above.
For this unisex space, Estudio Plok used a neutral color palette. They also gave lighting a fundamental role, accompanying the forms and accentuating each corner.
Casa FOA is an annual architecture, interior design, landscape gardening, and industry event which has been running for the past 33 years. Founded in 1985 by Mercedes Malbran de Campos, it was first set up as a fundraising initiative for the Jorge Malbran Ophthalmologic Foundation (Fundación Oftalmológica Argentina Jorge Malbran, or FOA). While the foundation itself aims to help more people see, Casa FOA’s mission is to help people toward a better vision of the world, providing a platform for Argentina’s cultural values and serving as an experimental space for creative development. Since its inaugural year, 1,250 architects and interior designers have participated in the initiative, which has welcomed over 4 million visitors.
